僑外學生申辦居留證

  • 於入境次日起30日內或在台申獲改發居留簽證簽發日起30日內，向居留地所屬之內政部移民署服務站申請外僑居留證
  • 變更居留住址時，應於 15日內申請辦理變更登記，檢附租賃契約或宿舍住宿證明

港澳學生申辦居留入出境證

  • 港澳生入臺前須申請香港澳門居民入境許可(可停留3個月)，入境完成體檢後，攜帶應備文件辦理臺灣地區居留入出境證，若無法於3個月內辦理完成居留入出境證，應先以入出境許可證辦理延期停留。
  • 居留證效期到期前30日內務必辦理居留證延期。
  • 變更居留住址時，應於 15日內申請辦理變更登記，檢附租賃契約或宿舍住宿證明

港澳學生延期停留申請

  • 經許可進入臺灣地區，停留期間自入境之翌日起，不得逾３個月，並得申請延期1次，期間不得逾３個月

Application for Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) for Overseas Chinese and International Students

International students must apply for the Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) at the National Immigration Agency (NIA) Service Center of their residence within 30 days after arriving in Taiwan

or within 30 days from the issuance date of the resident visa if changed in Taiwan.

When changing your residential address, you must apply for an address change registration within 15 days, and submit a lease agreement or dormitory residence certificate.

Required Documents:

  1. Passport and visa stamp page

  2. Proof of enrollment and proof of residence (e.g., lease agreement)

  3. Health check certificate

  4. Letter of authorization (if applicable)

  5. Digital file of a recent 2-inch, bareheaded half-length photo taken within the last year

  6. Application fee:

    • Foreign students: NT$1,000

    • Overseas Chinese students: NT$500

Application for Exit & Entry Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Students

Before entering Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao students must apply for an Entry Permit for Hong Kong/Macao Residents (valid for 3 months).

After entry and completing the health check, students must apply for the Taiwan Exit & Entry Permit for Residency with the required documents.

If the application cannot be completed within 3 months, students should apply for an extension of stay using the entry permit.

The ARC must be renewed within 30 days before it expires.
When changing your residential address, you must apply for an address change registration within 15 days, and submit a lease agreement or dormitory residence certificate.

Required Documents:

  1. Health check certificate

  2. Certificate of no criminal record from Hong Kong/Macao (Good Conduct Certificate)

  3. Residency Declaration Form

  4. Identity Verification Letter for Hong Kong/Macao Residents

  5. Letter of authorization (if applicable)

  6. Hong Kong/Macao passport and permanent resident ID

  7. Entry Permit

  8. University admission notification from official MOE-approved admission document

  9. Digital file of a recent 2-inch, bareheaded half-length photo taken within the last year

  10. NT$2,600 fee

    • Must also provide high school name and graduation year

  11. Proof of enrollment and proof of residence (e.g., lease agreement)

Application for Extension of Stay for Hong Kong and Macao Students

Upon approval for entry into Taiwan, the initial duration of stay is up to 3 months from the day after arrival. Students may apply for one extension for up to 3 additional months.

Required Documents:

  1. Extension application form

  2. Original ARC or Exit & Entry Permit for Taiwan

  3. Letter of authorization (if applicable)

  4. Extension fee: NT$300
