Introduction of International Programs

Regular Program

The program offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees. Admission for general degree students is only open for the fall semester. Chinese-taught programs must submit a Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) certificate of level A2 or above. English-taught programs must submit an English proficiency certificate equivalent to CEFR level B1 or above. Departments and programs available for general degree students are listed below, and graduation requirements shall follow the regulations announced by each department or institute.

 

International Foundation Program

Students admitted to the International Foundation Program are required to complete a one-year Chinese language preparatory course (at least 720 hours), which may only be taken once. After completing the Chinese preparatory course, students must pass the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) at level A2 before continuing to the four-year professional program to pursue a bachelor's degree.

 

INTENSE Program

💰 Financial Support:

  • National Development Fund: Up to NT$100,000 per person per year, maximum 2 years
  • Enterprise Allowance: At least NT$10,000 per month per student
  • Additional Subsidy: One-time airfare to Taiwan and necessary administrative fees

The INTENSE Program is jointly designed by universities and partner enterprises to offer customized curricula. The National Development Fund provides an "Industry-Academia Scholarship" of up to NT$100,000 per person per year for up to two years, along with a one-time subsidy for airfare to Taiwan and necessary administrative fees. Partner enterprises provide a "Living Allowance" of at least NT$10,000 per month per student during the study period. Students who receive both government and enterprise sponsorships are obligated to remain in Taiwan for employment after graduation, aiming to promote career opportunities for outstanding international students in Taiwan.

 

Key Industry Department

In line with the national key industry development policy, departments related to smart machinery, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, and green energy technology are established. All courses are conducted entirely in English, aiming to cultivate highly skilled international professionals who meet industry needs.
